I absolutely agree with what has been said before! During my roaming between regions before settling in Forest, I did notice quite a few of them post a bulletin every time there is a new proposal at vote in either the GA or SC. Personally, I’d love to see something created for Forest as well. I admit, I am still relatively new to the WA game, but I’d love to help in such an endeavour.
But generally, I think it’s a great first step to have a general discussion thread like this. It could already work to promote more activity in this part of the forum. As an addition, perhaps we could continue to promote that activity by drafting here first, before moving to the WA forums on NS. That way others would see this area being active, and be motivated to contribute themselves? 🙂
As for Protecting Convicted Voters I like the general concept of it, that also convicts should have the right to vote in elections. However, when I look at the Netherlands (my home country) we do have provisions in place that allow the judiciary to take away the voting rights of a convict, in rare cases. Imagine someone who was convicted for political terrorism, it would feel somewhat jarring if that individual was allowed to vote. To me, it would feel appropriate to have an exclusion in place where rare cases such as a political terrorist could have their voting rights taken away as part of their sentence. As it stands, Tinhampton’s resolution is lacking any such exclusions, which leave me with mixed feelings about it.
EDIT: Oh, and I would love to work on a joint proposal! Perhaps something environmentally-related? c:
