A striking tree that I encountered hiking on the north side of Mingus Mountain in Arizona. It looks like a juniper of some sort.
Fortynine Palms Oasis near Joshua Tree National Park in California. I have not seen the canyon in Arizona that has palms yet but apparently they are the same species as these are.
Taken last year in Ontario by Stoney Lake. I guess these could also go in Earth but the main focus of the photos are trees:

The mountain one in the Earth category was taken from a transcontinental airplane flight into San Francisco.
Hey! I finally registered an account to submit my pictures, and it looks like my amateur pictures are going to be most triumphantly defeated by all these much better shots. It will be fun to compete anyway ?
