AltmerDominion Photographs from within Rocky Mountain National Park. Born from an effort to document Pine Beetle effects, the resulting images had a haunting air.
Beepee A beautiful palm against a cloudy sky.... taken in Hyde Park, Sydney, 12 December 2018. I love the textures of the trunk of the palm
Beepee the blossom of the jacaranda tree. Taken in Hyde Park, Sydney,12 December 2018. The Jacaranda trees when in full bloom are a sight to behold, with their purple blossom adorning every branch

Mount Seymour Atsvea The trees one was taken from the Jasper Skytram. The mountain one in the Earth category was taken from a transcontinental airplane flight into San Francisco.
Nagatar_Karumuttu_Chettiar Hey! I finally registered an account to submit my pictures, and it looks like my amateur pictures are going to be most triumphantly defeated by all these much better shots. It will be fun to compete anyway ?
Garden-of-Holly 8 / 11 - THE WALKWAY AT BOTANIC GARDENS, SINGAPORE. One of the many small walkways found in this vast gardens, is a place where while I was around, were a couple of contractors testing out the lamp. I took an opportunity to take a photo of the walkway, along with the lighted lamp, giving the feel of an enchanted forest. If only it is a little darker. Shot with Nikon D5100. Lens: 18-55mm @ f/3.5-5.6 Aperture: f/7.1 Focal Length: 22.0 mm Shutter Speed: 1/15 sec ISO: 400 ..... 9 / 11 - CLOSEUP OF A FLOWER. BOTANIC GARDENS, SINGAPORE. While strictly not a tree, it is pretty interesting that when taken up close and personal, a flower and perhaps Nature herself has these beauties lying around. It could very well be a set for a movie where a colony of small insects use these flowers as their home. It has that futuristic neon theme to it, and I like it! Shot with Nikon D5100. Lens: 18-55mm @ f/3.5-5.6 Aperture: f/5.6 Focal Length: 52.0 mm Shutter Speed: 1/6 sec ISO: 2000
UnitedNewEngland Snowy trees in an eastern Massachusetts town Icy trees in an eastern Massachusetts city Blossoming trees in an eastern Massachusetts city Trees by the water in a central Massachusetts town Thanks for viewing!
Eastshade UnitedNewEngland I love that picture of icy trees in an eastern Massachusetts city! I don't know why, but that background with that booth (or playground?) is pretty!
Nagatar_Karumuttu_Chettiar This one (2&3) took a lot of effort to procure, just take a look at the sky behind it, in the verdant area! Both taken similarly, I just didn't know which one to submit ? This is a tree that has been there for a long time (I would know)! My younger cousin-sister taking a picture, I thought it looked good because it added contrast to the trees and an element of humanity to the scene!
UnitedNewEngland Eastshade Thank you! In the background there’s a little play structure that’s decorated to look like a trolley. There are trolleys that run through the city as well as a trolley museum, hence the playground theme. The city is called Lowell, in case you were wondering.
Turbeaux Mount Seymour I can see the glacial rock flour in Kinney Lake (I know that it is glacial due to an activity that I did in a geology course). Very neat!
Mount Seymour Turbeaux Absolutely right! Rock flour does amazing things to lakes' colors. I've posted a couple more pics in the extras thread illustrating that: https://forest.freeflarum.com/d/128-extra-sharing-photo-contest-2018/5
