[Draft] Commend Caracasus

Another resolution draft I could use Forest's input on. Finding more opportunities for fun and suggestions for more details would be appreciated.

The World Assembly,

Aware that a commendation is the highest honor this body can bestow upon a nation and believing that it should be reserved only for nations that have made the greatest positive impact internationally;

Introducing the nation of [nation]Caracasus[/nation] as a candidate for this award based on their advocacy for awareness of various important matters among leaders across the multiverse, international diplomacy, and community building within their region;

Desiring not to ignore the elephant in the room of the efforts of Caracasus to promote awareness of several issues among national leaders across the multiverse, highlighted by:

Drawing attention to the often immoral actions of private security forces deployed in war, via the informational pamphlet "Selling this Nation Down the River?";

Awareness of the decline in school discipline culminating in student revolts, via the informational pamphlet "School's Out (of Control)", which is considered by many leaders one of the greatest issue promotion efforts they've ever received;

Highlighting that some splinter states wish to rejoin the nations they seceded from, via the informational pamphlet "The Prodigal States";

Praising the work that ambassadors from Caracasus (and associated [nation]Malsti[/nation]) have done in the World Assembly, characterized by constructive feedback and robust debate in both assemblies and punctuated by the authorship of General Assembly Proposal #346 "Researching Unique Ecosystems";

Noting the diplomatic gravitas Caracasus added to several high profile international conflicts including:
The [nation]Oehiton[/nation] and [nation]Cardulan[/nation] conflict and resulting Oehiton civil war (sometimes colloquially known as the "Stop Killing My People" wars) wherein Caracasus initially distributed critical international aid and eventually help broker peace talks;

A series of conflicts within Caracasus' sphere of influence primarily centered in hostilities in [nation]Menthi[/nation] (colloquially known as "Things to do in Caracasus Before you Die" wars) in which Caracasus spearheaded international diplomacy and boots on the ground intervention;

Exalting the contributions of Caracasus to the previously commended region of [region]Forest[/region], including promoting a variety of regional actives as part of their duties as a regional officer in charge of community building since 2016, and serving as the Forest Keeper (the elected leader of Forest) from July 2018 to September 2018;

Convinced Caracasus has met the prestigious standard for a commend for their accomplishments across the political spheres of the multiverse;

Hereby commends [nation]Caracasus[/nation].

I am actually really pleased that people reckon my commitments are worth commending! Happy to brainstorm as requested regarding phrasing and details. Painting in very btoad strokes as I think attempting to co author your own comendation would be rather gauche. Take these quite literally as suggestions only and I am sure others will have better phrasig etc than me.

I wonder if some of the stuff regarding councils that I bought in as FK and the change of term length to 6 months might be worth mentioning. Only because I was really pleased at how well everyone dug in with them

Given the nature of post an account... during my time as RP mentor and the collation it could I guess be rephrased narratively as something like a regional reporting network or organisation...

One point: As far as I can remember (the damn thing lasted over a year in real life so I could be off) the only boots on the ground action performed by caracasusian forces during Things To Do.... was very limited. Extraction of key witnesses to a bioweapon attack and the remnents of the failed Karthos Soviet. It was mostly diplomatic.

I think it would be good to get something in regarding the support and encouragement offered to newer players. Caracasus more than anyone helped me to settle into Forest when I was completely new and was hugely encouraging at my first RP attempts. That continued through pretty much everything I've got involved in. You see them extending that sort of positivity to new people all the time - such a striking contrast to the ire unleashed on the forum at certain other nations. Without it I quite possibly wouldn't have stepped up for government jobs and might well have drifted off to the Leftist regions (you can decide for yourselves whether that's a good thing ? ).

Stylistically I think you may have said "attention" too many times in the early paragraphs. and surely we can have more elephant puns? Promoting a trunk packed full of regional activities? Not confined to the ivory tower? Diplomatic tusk force? Mammoth endeavours? Trumpeting his achievements? You're not a dumbo so you know what I mean. I'm all ears.

Thanks for the thoughts guys. I'll probably submit Chan Island this coming week and be distracted by that, but I'll come back to this in two weeks. Keep offering any thoughts in the meantime. I guess I was little nervous to be too vocal about Forest stuff in order to avoid being called out for just trying to promote Forest (another reason I decided not to mention Chan's Forest related RP in his commend), but I think you guys are right the commend needs it. I'll look into a more sizeable number of elephant puns too.

As an IE I can easily see all issues the Caracasus wrote (I think the real number is 9?). Sadly, only the three I've mentioned were written before he became an IE and therefore legal to mention.
