Finally. You are here. The Sacred Forest is just within your grasp. You wake up and stretch, the view from outside your tent comes into focus. The night before, you and the other Green Initiates setup camp after reaching the summit right before the Sacred Forest.
You knew that the Scared Forest was a place of everlasting peace and prosperity. You knew that these trees contained enormous power, and that without them the earth would become prey to the most vile of its creations: The Lumberjacks. You and the other members of your Initiate gathered together and decided the only way they could save The Sacred Forest was to Journey there and get there before the Lumberjacks. Thankfully, you did so and you can deploy the magical barrier that will keep them out.
Well...that was until you heard a bloodcurdling scream from outside your tent. You get dressed in your signature green smock and rush outside, your bare feet squishing against the damp ground with each step. There she was, your leader Freya, laying lifeless and bloody in her tent. Her wound suggested only one thing...slain by a Lumberjack. Their lust for the magic bark in the Sacred Forest knows no bounds.
But how could they have gotten here? You know you weren't followed. Unless...the truth dawns on you like a wave crashing into your skull. The Lumberjacks infiltrated the Green Initiates. Everyone at this point is gathered outside around the campfire, looking at each other for what to you. The tension is palpable in the air...and you know if you don't figure out who the Lumberjacks are soon, The Sacred Forest will be in their hands and then the world.
Welcome to Forest's First Mafia Game. The rules are simple. You'll be given one of the roles below at random once everyone has signed up. Each day you will deliberate and vote on which Green initiate you think is a Lumberjack and if found guilty use your earthly magic to enact your punishment. Each night if applicable you will send me a PM with who you are targeting with your ability and once I receive a PM from each of those people I will make a write up of what happened during the night. Lumberjacks are able to speak to each other during the night phase however they please but Green Initiates and other roles cannot. You can choose not to do anything but send me a PM if so.
The game will run in Day cycles unless that is a problem for anyone. So each "Day" is 1 real life day and so is each night. This will make it take longer but will give everyone a chance to respond.
Roles (12 Players):
Forest Ranger (Sheriff) - Use your ability each night to see if your target is acting suspicious.
Shaman (Doctor) - Use your ability each night to protect one Green Initiate from the Lumberjacks.
Leper (Jester) - If you are killed by Initiate Magic (Lynching), you win the game. You are not aligned with the Lumberjacks or Green Initiates.
Foreman (Godfather) - You deliberate with your other Lumberjacks on how to kill all the Green Initiates. You alone have the power and final say on who is killed. You win when all Green Initiates are dead, even if there are neutrals left.
Carpenter (Framer)- Each night you can have someone show up as a member of the Lumberjacks to the Forest Ranger.
Lumberjack (Mafia) - You deliberate with the other Mafia to decide on who is killed. If the Foreman dies, you become the Foreman.
Rv/Camper (Bus Driver) - Switch the targets of two individuals abilities. Green Initiate
Free Spirit (Escort) - Block one players ability. Green Initiate.
Barkskin (Survivor) - Each night decide if you want to cast your handed down family magic that prevents you from dying by encasing yourself in Bark. Can only be used 3 times.
3 x Green Initiates (Citizens) - You have no abilities but can post during the day.
Game will begin when we have enough players or we determine that we have not enough over a significant amount of time and I will remove some roles.
