Nation name: Lammas

Climate/biome: Alpine/continental, marked season changes, heavy precipitation in winter (snow) and spring, pleasant summers
Significant geographical features (mountains, rivers, etc.— and where they are located): The country of Lammas is a landlocked, heavily mountainous nation, almost entirely covered in forest except where the mountains are steepest and reach above the tree line. The highest mountain ranges, capped with perennial snows, stand mainly in the South and in the East. Settlements are fairly disconnected, mostly nestled within the narrow glacial valleys between the peaks. The only settlement of considerable size is Beltane, the capital. It sits among the foothills, in the West, but even here there is nothing that could be called a plain. A large river flows through Beltane, draining all the rain and meltwater from the depths of the mountains, and then goes on to leave Lammas and flow to the sea through [other country].
Any other information or requests: (Ranked by order of priority, because I want things but I know I'm not the only person on the map)
- Placement in the North. I like the general area from Eryndlynd through to Esterild, but I don't know where I can check for biome so put me somewhere else Northern if that isn't appropriate.
- "Interesting" borders (no straight lines) that are consistent with a high mountain geography. Also, I'd love for the country not to look too square or round. Examples of what I like: Austria, Switzerland, Tajikistan. Examples of what I would like to avoid: Poland, Zimbabwe, Egypt.
- Area equivalent to more or less 800x800 px. This does not have to be exact, of course, I would just like an area that is >2 times the little 500*500 square, without necessarily being sprawling like the larger nations on the map.
- If river names are to appear on the map I'd love to name the large river running through Lammas? This may be irrelevant as I see no names for now.
