They'd cornered this idiot wearing a wierd half mask that covered his mouth and chin and what in their ignorance they perceived simple as a weird outfit in a dark alley way, they each though simultaneous though in their own internal venacular "There is no way this freak is getting away alive, after he beat up Mickey" and yet after just a few seconds of noise the alley way was quiet with all five of the thugs laying in puddles of their own blood, as the masked man walked quietly towards the exit of the alley way. One thug managed to swallow back the pain and spit out a question to the mysterious fighter "How did you know every move we were going to make?" The man, tall and lithe dressed in a all black Wing Chun Uniform and a stylized half mask, glances back over his shoulder to reply "Because we've already had this fight a thousand times." and walks quietly back into the night.
Meet Jin Li, a second generation Utipsumite, who during the day spreads his time between helping out at his Uncle's martial arts gym "Cynosure Wing Chun" and apprenticing at "First Watch" under Martin Murphy, a world class horologist and watchmaker. However at night he becomes the crime fighter Deja-Fu. Jin Li fights crime in Gibran Cynosure using a technique passed down by his father a world renowned martial artists, who was murder by the organized crime leader Tai Noumeka better known as the villian Myrutu-Mara leading , leading him to his life as vigilante. The technique called Shà style, allows Jin to use his powerful Chi to creates temporal loops of 10 minutes to allowing Jin fight an opponent many times over n until he chooses to break the loop allowing him to learn all of his opponents techniques and possible attacks. However any harm that comes to him during these repeated attacks last and do not heal as the loop starts over or when it is broken often leaving him physically injured and drained. So if you're a criminal in the seedy underbelly and ever run into a man dressed in an all black Wing Chun uniform and wearing a half mask shaped like the bottom mandible of a dragon, don't even think about picking a fight because he has already won, many times over.
His sometimes ally, the famed Boxer and meta human, Jameson Jones, often called Steel Strike, once explained Deja-Fu as "He's like that movie Groundhogs Day, except instead of him getting the girl you just get you $%^ kicked"
