Recommend a documentary!
I have enjoyed all of Adam Curtis' stuff. Although the narratives he overlays are usually way too simplified there is just so much interesting content, radical perspectives, and brilliant editing. If you have seen his main two documentaries (Bitter Lake and HyperNormalisation) I recommend watching The Century of the Self (3 episodes) which questions notions of individuality and democracy that are the primary values of our time.

I rather enjoyed Bobby Kennedy For President on Netflix I definitely do not diefy the Kennedy family like some Americans but it quite effectively illustrates how to run a presidential campaign.

I especially enjoyed Helvetica, but maybe that's just because I'm into typography. ? It really does make you think about all the things you never notice in the world around you.

I highly recommend The Way Of All Flesh, a 50 minute documentary about Henrietta Lacks, HeLa cells, and many of the revolutionary scientific advances (and mistakes) surrounding this epic cell line, on a background of cold war. It's 20 years out of date by now but still an invaluable look at this slice of history, and as always with Adam Curtis, perfectly accessible for those with no specialised knowledge of biology or medicine.
